I’m not great at kitchen-soup decks. I don’t draft them well, I’m paranoid about my manabase, I want to curve out and beat down like a proper Boros player. Yet I have to say, I think this is what the Good Doctor intended for magic.

Not pictured: at one point oppo had 33 life and I had 4. It’s hard to read, as I had so many cards in play they had to shrink, but here’s a taste:

I assembled the dream of looting for 1 mana, but being able to play the discarded card.

Which was frequently a land, so it turned into an extra +1/+1 counter

Toshari Guide bot was drawing cards for free, since everything had an aforementioned counter on it. I’m now drawing two extra cards a turn for 1 mana.

Graveyard had a grand total of two cards in it, which is pretty silly. Plus the game had the full turnaround: getting beat in the face with unblockable fliers, oppo had a key piece of removal. But then they made a key mistake, attacking their tapper into my suddenly-has-reach-from-a-crappy-enchantment. And that was enough to turn the corner. Good times! (at least for me)
