Okay, time to delve in and draft the Snow Life. Or at least draft-respecting-the-power-of-snow-life. The goal is to not just pick “strongest card vs. best fit” but also “better or worse than the available snow land”. Maybe there will even be a challenging P1p1 to really make it complete.

So, that’s a negative on a tricky P1p1, Koma is a legit bomb in the set and a powerful reason to steer hard into blue/green. Which are also, incidentally, the home of snow in the set. Surely I can do this now!

Huh. I think World Tree goes well with Koma (also a flavor win, with the creator and the destroyer in back-to-back picks). I do love Koll, which can rapidly be a busted card. And B/W Snow is better than a plains, but not by much.

This was a little tougher, but a reasonable snow-dual over the pretty good saga. Nothing of note in blue/green, which is a worrisome at pick 3.

Dwarven hammer (and the entire cycle of equipment really) has impressed me as a source of grinding value. Worth taking over a good 2-drop and a non-dual snow land.

Yikes. A badly off-color (though powerful) spell-land versus an aggressively medium combat-trick-with-a-body-attached. No snow to be seen. I take the brinebarrow with severe reservations and looking to offramp.

And here’s where I stop worrying and love the bomb. I take Usher and I’m now looking to move aggressive into aggro. There is literally no blue to be seen here.
