Okay, after drafting with Ethan it was time to do my homework and, for the first few picks be sure to consciously pick out the best card in the pack (the P1p1 choice) and the best card that fits with previous picks. GO.
Draft log
Huh, actually a pretty interesting P1p1. Basri’s Solidarity versus Feat of Resistance is actually a very close choice. I went with Feat, only because it’s just so good in literally every circumstance.
strongest vs. best fit
Strange draft, with some downright disrespectful P1p10 and P2p12 (!) Drowsy T just sitting there in the pack. But green never really felt that open either. I liked how intentional it felt carving out white and then snagging the high-ceiling Patrician and building into it as a lifegain deck. Looking back, I probably should have taken the Swift Response in P2p10. Yes it’s not a great card in aggressive white decks, but I think the lifegain is a little more deliberate.
Summary

Honed the deck down to a more aggressive BW, using Feat to protect key creatures. Beat a bad deck, then lost to a NUTS GW deck (two Invigorating Surges, Conclave Mentor, etc. etc.) and then beat up again on another medium deck.
Interesting Moments
What’s the build?

Lots of fun build choices! Splash the red for the Dragonfire? Kitesail Freebooter Y/N? Eventually I went with the most streamlined WB build seen above. Only one lifegain payoff, the Patrician, but lots of mini-synergies (enchantments on the Hallowblade or Chorister or Kitesail) etc.

between those two counter options for p1p1 i am totally on the feat. because i prefer the instants, there are so many more possibilities. however the better your opponent is the worse the card is. If they are good they will play around it. So if you are at the 8-4 table the meta may say take the sorcery instead.
