I was able to start a third draft with Monsieur Chris but was sadly unable to finish it before I struck the forbidden hour of 10pm. What’s funny is that this was pretty close to my Pumpkin Hour in my 20s… well now it’s REALLY time to pass out. Baby Raptor is up at 6am and is sadly lacking a snooze alarm.

I could make a lot of money selling a baby snooze alarm.

It’s always helpful to open a stone-cold bomb and have the color remain pretty open. There’s a case to be made that red was also open in pack 1, but it was never compelling enough to be pushed off. Put together a very straightforward midrange deck.

Finals! Pretty sweet losing to Gigantasour & Thud. That made me irrationally happy. Plus my opponent just a outright better RG deck (Pelakka Wurm, 2x Draconic Shaman, &c &c). I feel like I went as far as a reliable midrange deck should go, losing to a better deck.

Learnings

Honestly, seemed pretty straightforward. I could tell when time was on my side and when it was not.
