Keep or mull is usually a bit more straightforward than the multiple facets of a What’s the Play. But it’s still good to keep one’s hand in. So here’s a good one. We are on the draw in game 1, already mulled once.

Pretty self-evident keep with good removal and early plays and a pretty powerful card. But what to toss? Normally when on the draw I pitch the third land automatically. However, is that the best choice here?

Holding a powerful 4-drop and two removal spells, I chose to ditch the Prizefight instead. A fight spell without a good burly creature to back it up isn’t great and having Strangle in hand is quite soothing. This hand has a good game plan of landing the Voice of the Vermin and turning my pegasus into a 4/4 flier so there’s no reason to jeopardize that with missing land drops. Replace the Strangle with an average 3-drop and I think I pitch the land instead. Small edges!
