The “on this day _ years ago” does more than make you feel real old, occasionally it coughs up a deck that time had left behind! Kaladesh, a more innocent time before widespread Arena, pandemics, and such. Also contained the one and only time that I’ve ever drafted a mono-colored deck in a full pod.

I loved the fabricate mechanic! It was a neat minigame navigating the need to go tall or go wide. Of course, if you could bounce them repeatedly you can go REAL wide…

And maybe find some other way to profit off all of these ETBs… (Eager Construct is an honorary addition, since it was such a happy card that both players were delighted to see)

And heck, let’s throw in a weird build-around rare that makes it go bonkers

Much like the other Hall of Famers, this deck felt like a constructed deck. It had a clear plan and would occasionally behave in a way that just seemed completely unfair. I think my record was 17 Servos, but my memory could be off. Definitely tricky keeping track of all my triggers the old fashioned way.
