Okay, second attempt at the more disciplined “always pick the P1p1 and best fit”
Draft log

Fascinating P1p1. I took Basri’s Acolyte as one of the best cards is one of the strongest colors. But I think a case could be made for the efficient removal of Dragonfire or the upside of Stormwing Entity. Stacked pack!
Very strange draft. A late burst of above average blue in pick 7, but then it seriously dried up. Opening a second Seasoned Hallowblade cemented me in white. Then junk only to watch Riddleform and Jeskai elder wheel. It felt like blue was underdrafted at the table, but I can’t for the life of me see the on-ramp.
Summary

Well it felt like blue was open at the table, but I went over the draft and I still don’t see the entry point. This deck feels decidedly mediocre. That said, tfn round one vs. RU tempo. First two games both came down to the final turn and the last few points of damage. Lost round two to Liliana, who remains no joke. Round three ended up with no land draws for 8 turns, which is probably the only way to lose when you have two Seasoned Hallowblades on the field. Won round 3 against a decent BW lifegain deck that had the payoffs but not the way to actually gain life.

so i was all ready to ask about “”always pick the P1p1 and best fit”” because I feel like an adjective may be missing (don’t tell my english teacher) . but then ………….
