Draft
Ugly opening with no power and no real clarity either. I took an Evolving Wilds over a Winged Words. Yeah. That bad.
I start veering wildly around and end up with some sort of Naya pile. Doesn’t feel great Bob! Looking back, I don’t see a lot I could have done differently. The mana is alright (lots of Naya lands were wheeling) but no real OOMPH.

Results
- Round 1 vs. Grixis: super fun match versus a fellow grindy deck. Unfortunately their grindy deck had card advantage (Blood for Bones, Grave Digger, some neat pocket of token/sacrifice) so I would pull slightly ahead but then inevitably stall and get ground out. Fun oppo to play against.
- Round 2 vs. Temur: I got greedy and kept a one lander but it had a lot of 2-drops and I was on the play. The artifact value (especially on the Fencing Ace) put them under too much pressure and I won.
- Round 3 vs RB: I mull a one lander, then keep the next one lander (had a plains but 2-drop action in white). I fell behind waiting for mana, but stabilize, get my fliers and win with a shock to the face! Woo! In game 2, oppo got to 3 lands but wasn’t casting anything. I made a mistake, blocking mindless when I *knew* oppo was going to Act of Treason then Bone Splinters. ARGH. Then Cavalier of Night. Well I was probably losing that one anyway. Game three I durdle-attack until they found their Cavalier/Bloodsoaked Altar to wipe me out.
Learnings
Decks that stall need a way to win in a stall, either a bomb or card advantage to grind or something. This deck conspicuously lacked that. Again, unsure what I could have drafted to be a win-con, even a bad win-con.
