Draft
Once again I had hopes for Rakdos and once again they were dashed with a P1p7 Consecrate // Consume. Powerful removal suite but the creatures don’t feel like they ever really got there.
Deck

It’s not a great sign playing Orzhov without a single Grasping Thrull to be seen. Good removal and some good card advantage tools but this feels a little fragile. I’d be pleased with 2-1.
Results
- Round 1 vs. Esper: Oppo gets caught on mana screw. Then it looks like durdle city in G2 but his Tome of the Guildpact drew him a LOT of cards while IGI ground me down. Game 3 his haunted mana base gets him as I curve out and kill him.
- Round 2 vs. Mardu: In game 1, not entirely sure what oppo is up to. Doesn’t become more clear when he can’t cast spells in round 2. Possibly least deserving finals deck ever.
- Round 3 vs. Orzhov: Game 1 I grind out a deck playing worse Orzhov cards than I, which I hardly thought possible. Game 2 I mull to five, with only black mana. I continue to draw only black mana. Game 3 I fall behind and never really catch up. Felt like I lost to a bad deck, but then again, this deck was bad too. Can’t be salty about that.
Learnings
The “sacrifice theme” never really did much of anything, but I played against such durdling decks that the 1/1 fliers were often enough. It was shocking how often I wanted the Debtor’s Transport just as a finisher.
