Still averaging about a week between drafting and actually fitting in all three rounds. Though I have a better excuse this time: cross-country flights with the Baby Raptor. Yes, 6 hours of pick me up set me down I want to go over there high five high five high five no pick me up again no over there I’m hungry hahaha just kidding high five. It’s… pretty damn exhausting, I can definitely see why my sister ordered me to do a big trip *before* they turn one. She was right to do so.
Draft
Able to stay mono-green in pack 1, with some signs of white (P1p9 Take Vengeance being the big signal there). But then it was blue that opened up in pack 3 (P3p7 Divination, etc.) so who the hell knows. Sad that I missed a chance to try and draft the wall deck with Arcades, but that’s not exactly a thing you try to do in pack 3.
Deck

I cut a Take Vengeance for the Oakenform (to combo with the Knight, the Vine Mare etc. etc.) Good sideboard option if I’m facing a deck with fliers. Overal, this seems totally decent. Removal, some good power level stuff.
Learnings
Well round one I just played against someone kinda bad (weird ordering of spells, not using the hired blade to ambush and kill my Vine Mare) so hard to learn a lot from that. Oh, Declare Dominance on Daggerback Basilisk is pretty slick. Quite the wombo.
Aaaand we got there! Second trophy! Felt like I faced kinda weak competition as my deck’s power level wasn’t THAT sick. But it performed nicely and did what it needed to do. You don’t have to always get fancy (especially in core set). Nothing wrong with a PB&J.
