On the back of an overpowered mythic rare I was able to eke out a few wins and 20 tickets in the aftermarket for cards. I could almost make a profit doing this!
That statement is just not true. But it doesn’t justify another draft!
The Draft
This felt like a weird draft as I never really got my second color. P1p5 Pegasus Courser made me feel good about white, P1p6 Divination (which every blue deck would run) made me think blue only never to see it again. Kept getting medium value cards and so a medium value deck we will run!
The Deck

Well this feels decidedly mediocre. I decided to try and lean a little more into the aggression that I can squeeze out of Lance, 2x Adamant Will, Pegusai, and such. Basically I want to be tapped and attacking, hoping that my removal or my tricks or my evasion can blast through.
Learnings
Incredibly enough, it sort of worked! My first opponent was a goldfish that switched from UG to UB (not a good sign in a draft) and I was able to push through my second. Even made the finals where I ran into a vastly superior deck. I learned some things: don’t waste my combat trick first if you suspect a Gideon’s Intervention. I walked into a blowout that I knew was there, which didn’t feel good. Also, being a little more focused is a good thing. I debated trying to splash for Slimefoot (even had a shot at a second Slimefoot!) but this deck was not going to outlast a control deck.
